Finalists who rank Williams
If you are a finalist who ranked Williams, your National College Match application will be sent to Williams, and you will need to submit the following requirements by November 1. If you have questions after reviewing the information below, please view theFAQ for Williams applicants or reach out to the school directly.

Williams College Applicant Portal Activation: QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to Williams on October 19, and Williams may need a couple days to import them into their system. Once processed, Williams will then email you instructions to log in and activate your applicant portal, where you can track the status of the materials you submit to Williams. | ||
1 | (Optional) Test Scores SAT code: 3965 | Williams offers students the option to apply without consideration of their SAT or ACT scores. Students who rank Williams can indicate which, if any, scores they would like considered in review of their application. After your QuestBridge Application has been forwarded to Williams, you will receive instructions on activating your My Williams Account. Once you have activated your application portal, you'll be prompted to complete a short form indicating which, if any, SAT or ACT scores you would like considered in review of your application. For students who would like to submit test scores, Williams accepts official test scores, self-reported test scores, screenshots of score reports, or scores verified through counselors. Test score information can be included in the testing section of the QuestBridge Application or emailed to questbridge@williams.edu. Official scores will be required for students who enroll at Williams and request that their scores be considered for admission. Regular Decision Requirements:
Step 1: Select Williams on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 3 - December 11. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Williams (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).
Step 2: Activate your Williams College Applicant Portal. QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to Williams on December 14 and Williams may need 2-3 days days to import them into their system. Use the Williams applicant portal, sent to you via email, to track the status of your materials you submit to Williams.
Step 3:Submit all additional required application and financial materials by the applicable deadlines directly to Williams as detailed in the table below.

Am I too rich for QuestBridge? ›
Financial Qualification:
Household income is less than $65,000 a year, and often less for a family of four, with minimal assets. Often eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
If you are a Finalist who did not match, you will be able to review potential early admission opportunities and next steps from the schools you ranked.
How hard is it to get matched with QuestBridge? ›Over 12,000 Finalists have been matched to a college partner since QuestBridge's founding, and over 1,700 Finalists were matched in Fall 2022. Finalists who do not match can apply through QuestBridge Regular Decision to be considered for admission and generous financial aid.
How hard is it to win a QuestBridge scholarship? ›How hard is it to get QuestBridge? QuestBridge does not have any hard guidelines for academics and financial qualifications, the pool of applicants that you are competing against can be quite vast. In 2022 roughly 18,000 students applied to QuestBridge and of those 5,613 became finalists.
What are the odds of becoming a QuestBridge finalist? ›Becoming a QuestBridge Finalist
From the cohort, approximately 30% of QuestBridge applicants become QuestBridge finalists. These finalists are then eligible to be matched with any of the colleges they selected on their match rankings form.
All financial information is self-reported in the application. Although estimation is acceptable for the QuestBridge application, the schools will require you to provide financial documentation if selected as a Finalist. How poor do you have to be for QuestBridge? ›In general, the program is meant for students from four-person households earning less than $65,000 per year and with minimal assets. The ultimate goal of QuestBridge is to match low-income students with partner universities that will meet 100% of their demonstrated financial need.
Can you lose QuestBridge scholarship? ›The QuestBridge award is only available for eight undergraduate semesters. Students will lose eligibility for this award at the ninth semester of undergraduate enrollment.
Do colleges look at your QuestBridge application? ›Each school has its own policies on reviewing the QuestBridge materials in conjunction with the other materials you submit to them directly (such as the Common Application). You should not automatically submit the Common App without first reviewing the school's policies.
Why is Harvard not a QuestBridge school? ›While Harvard's peer schools, such as Princeton and Yale, use QuestBridge to access more low-income students, Harvard pursues socioeconomic diversity on its own. You can rank up to 15 colleges in order of preference. We encourage you to research all of our college partners. In previous years, students who ranked more colleges had a higher chance of matching, however you must be absolutely certain you would attend every college that appears on your list.
How does QuestBridge select finalists? ›Finalist: A Finalist is a student who applied to the National College Match and was selected by QuestBridge based on their academic achievements and financial need. Only Finalists may apply to college partners through the Match and be considered for the Match Scholarship.
